ConstructSim Work Package Server Help

ConstructSim Work Package Server Home Page

The ConstructSim Work Package Server web interface is set up to cover the life cycle phases of the work package. Identical links are available across the top of the web page, with an additional link to Home.

When you open ConstructSim Work Package Server, download the VCM from ConstructSim Planner.

The Project drop down displays a list of all the projects. You will only see projects and options as allowed by the permissions you have.

The question mark icon opens the product help.

The search icon displays the search field, which allows you to search for a specific Area, Component, Document, Engineering Item, Project, Published Package, Work Package Task or Work Package. Select the x to the right of the search criteria to clear the search field.

The * (asterisk) or % (percent sign) can be used to filter the search list. Before a character (for example, *C), it finds all items ending with that character. After a character (for example, C*), it finds all items beginning with that character.

The profile icon is used to view any tasks assigned to you or log out of the ConstructSim Work Package Server.
  • Project info panel allows you to define metadata about the project, upload engineering data files and i-models, view miscellaneous lists, manage personnel associated with the project, view status visualization and set general settings.

  • Work packaging panel allows you to create or view construction, installation and test work packages and to track the progress of the IWP life cycle.

  • My Tasks panel allows you to manage and administer your tasks.
Note: If you are using Internet Explorer as your browser, the columns in some of the windows may be skewed. To correct this, in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Compatibility View settings. In the Compatibility View Settings dialog, make sure the two options, Display intranet sites in Compatibility View and Use Microsoft compatibility lists are off. Clear all other fields in the dialog and select Close.
